Heat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a square baking pan or line it with parchment so the brownies lift out easily.
Whisk the eggs with the sugar for 1–2 minutes, just until smooth and evenly combined.
Pour in the melted butter (make sure it’s not hot) and mix until the batter looks glossy.
Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Fold gently with a spatula; stop as soon as you don’t see dry pockets.
Spread the batter into the pan, then sprinkle almonds and shredded coconut evenly over the top.
Bake for about 35 minutes. A toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs; if it’s completely dry, it may be overbaked.
Cool in the pan for 15–20 minutes, then let it cool further before cutting into 15 bars for clean edges.
