Pull 1 shot of espresso and pour it into a large mug. If you don’t have an espresso machine, use 60 ml of very strong brewed coffee.
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over medium-low heat. Don’t boil it; stop when you see gentle steam and the milk is hot to the touch.
Froth with a milk frother, a French press, or shake in a clean jar and warm briefly. Keep the foam light and pourable.
Slowly pour the hot milk into the mug. Spoon the foam on top. If using sugar, stir it in now.
Dust the top with cinnamon and serve right away. Start with a little, then add more if you like.
