In a small bowl, whisk the maple syrup and soy sauce until fully combined.
Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over and turn to coat. Cover and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
When you’re ready to cook, preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment for easy cleanup.
Set the fillets on the tray. Spoon any remaining marinade over the top. Bake for 12–14 minutes, until the salmon turns opaque and flakes easily; don’t overbake or it will dry out.
Sprinkle with sesame seeds. Let it rest for 1–2 minutes, then serve warm.
