Heat the oven to 180°C. Generously butter a medium tart or pie pan so the slices release easily.
In a bowl, smooth out the ricotta with a fork. Add the egg and stir just until combined.
Mix in the grated hard cheese, parsley, and nutmeg. If you’re using farro, fold in the cooked farro now.
Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and level the top with a spatula for even baking.
Bake for about 35–45 minutes, until the top is lightly golden and the center is set. If it browns too quickly, loosely cover with foil.
Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
